Two awesome courses on Sunshine Coast single track, lakeside trails, ocean views, and canopied climbs!
When: 5-May-2018 10am
Where: Sechelt, Sunshine Coast B.C.
Courses : 50km and 21km
Registration for both races will open on January 1st 2018. CCN will handle our registration again.
Race cost is $75 and includes a post race meal and drink and the famous Coaster beer glass. This year we are also offering you an awesome pair of Coaster 50 socks for $18 more.
Check- in closes at 9am. Check-in to get your race plate, beer glass, socks, food ticket and beer ticket.
From Langdale ferry drive through Gibsons and Sechelt then turn right at the light onto Norwest Bay Road. Follow up to Mason Road, turn right again and follow to the very top, beyond the end of the pavement. Our race base is 100m up the road on your right.
Please park either on Mason Road or Heritage Road but don't block any driveways. We have to live with the locals afterwards!
We offer cash prizing for the top 3 finishers, both male and female, in the marathon race. We also have a cash prize for the first male and first female to reach the top of the 2 kms climb. This is open to both contestants of both races. Our new single speed category winner will be rewarded with cash too – if you can ride 50 kms in one gear!
Boreale Biking is again offering 2x 3 day all inclusive packages at their beautiful lodge in the Yukon. If you haven't ridden up there yet, you're missing out on some great alpine single track. These prizes will be drawn from all registrations but you must be on site to accept your prize.
Sunshine Coast Community Forests will again be parking a fully loaded logging truck at our race base and will offer a swag package to the person guessing the value of the load.
Our friends, The Truck Loggers Association support our event too. Please give way to logging trucks - they are bigger than you! Stay on the right.
We will draw names from our registration list for prizes donated by our local merchants.See all our sponsor's here.
Feed Station / Support
We will have a fully stocked feed station which the XCO course will see once, and the XCM will see twice. You are welcome to leave your water bottle with us to transport up for you or we can give your support crew directions. Our enthusiastic sweeps will keep you on course and provide emergency assistance where necessary. If all else fails a pickup will rescue you and your ride. We have never had to instigate a cut-off but if it's going dark, we will!
